Default Wrong U-joint?

I went to install these driveshaft u-joints in my 69 today. Looks like I got the wrong part. The caps are the correct diameter, but they are about 3/8" too narrow for the yokes. Does anybody know what these would be for? The box say 53-82 driveshaft u-joint. I'll give Zip a call, but I bought them over a year ago. Not sure if they'll do anything for me.

I think I solved it. Looks like I got u-joints for a 4-speed car. I'm an idiot - probably my fault. You'd think the stick cars would get the BIGGER joints!

The C3's in 1968-1969 had the smaller 1310 u-joint which is 3 1/4" across the caps and a 1 /16" cap diameter. In 1970 and up, the joints were the larger 1330 which are 3 5/8" across the caps and a 1 1/16" cap diameter.

The joint you recieved looks like the smaller 1310 and is wrong to be classified as 1953-1982 as they did change in 1970.

From your follow up post, it looks like you got it straightened out, if not let me know and I can give you a Spicer part number for the 1330. One last thing, if they built it with a 1310, then chances are the weld yoke on the tube is also a 1310. If that's the case, then you'll need a 1310 X 1330 cross over u-joint.
