help finding a piston
Hello,
I'm looking but not finding a set of pistons as follows:
Forged
dished or flat with a volume of 6cc-10cc
compression heigth 1.425
rod length 5.7"
stroke 3.75"
bore 4.030"
floating pin
Available in a reasonably short order (a week or so)
hoping someone knows of something that fits the bill or knows where I should be looking:

My quick shot; obviously many other choices. BEST bet is to get them through your machine shop...

Thanks for looking billla, but I think those are dome. I need dish. Can't find any, anywhere, you had my hopes up!
I have not talked to my machine shop about ordering pistons but I suspect I'm looking for something they won't find either. There dosn't seem to be anything between 5cc and 12cc

How do you find a dish or a flat with a POSITIVE volume?
If you're looking for a -5cc to -12cc volume then that's possible as well; SRP 138089 as an example.
IMHO I'd let the shop find these - if they can't find pistons for this application, then they're the wrong shop

Sealed Power-Speed Pro catalog shows p/n LW2605F30 with reverse dome and -12cc volume. ... 1.425", 5.7", +.030", floater, 1/16"-1/16"-3/16" ringpak ... see your local machineshop they'll probably have a SP catalog & account.
Most 383 flattops have a total valve relief volume about -5cc ... if you also account for a typical crown chamfer plus typical volume between top land & top ring ... deduct about -1.7cc ... total volume about -6.7cc ... ABOUT.
