Default Exhaust inserts?

I'm in the process of ordering s/s hooker headers with side pipes and need some advice on the best inserts the choice so far is:

1. Glass packs

2: STS Baffles

3: Sweet thunders

4: Reverse flow mufflers

What would be your choice?

I have heard several types, and think the Sweet Thunders are a fantastic option. I have had the Hooker style reverse flow type mufflers. A friend has the same mufflers cut in half, and even a set with no inserts.

The Sweet Thunders were, to my ears, a Magnaflow equivalent for side pipes...and obviously they are louder.

I understand if your looking to use every bit of horsepower the STS baffles might be best but for half the price I'm quite happy with my SweetThunder inserts.

I tried the sweet thunder 2.5" and the Hooker reverse flows. I removed the reverse flows after 2 miles. Way to quite and killed my engine.
The sweet thunders are loud but awesome. I have 10.27:1 408 548hp and it sounds incredible and scares people! I am very pleased.

NOT counting the reverse flow, does anybody know which one is the quietest? Thanks.

I liked the "tunability" of the STS Baffles. They have a center cap that can be drilled out to "adjust" the volume. The bigger the hole, the louder the sound. My understanding is that the caps are the same size as a freeze plug, so if you get them too loud, you can weld another cap on and start over. I installed mine with no holes and they are plenty loud for me. Once I double my HP, I might have to do some drilling BTW . . . they sound great.
