Love the way it sounds! That's going to be killer.
Are you really going to keep the cam classified?
JIM
Jim, Wayne posted all about his build before. It's going to be nearly 90 here today. I'm going to go put a few hundred miles on my big inch small block.
His build really got me thinking about having my heads machined for T&D shaft rockers.

Yes the hydroboost is working and I must say it works pretty damn good, you only have to press real light and it stops on a dime, I can't see how you improve on this setup with the stock calipers, for street use.
Jim the cam is custom billet small base circle and while I don't have the all the specs in front of me it has pretty much the same specs as the XR286R ( I had the XR280R in my 406ci and loved it ) and is 248/254 duration with a lift of about .620"
The car will be going on the rollers in late fall or the spring

Why do they have to be machined, the stands bolt to the stud holes, just phone T&D ?
The shaft rockers really give you a sense of security, it is hard to explain but there is no movement and everything stays exactly where it is supposed to. Well worth the money for me anyway.
I remember all the adjustments I had to make on the last motor and that was with high quality Hi Tech stainless rockers. With the shaft rockers I set them cold when I put the motor together and when I checked them after break in they were bang on.

I just rechecked lash on my T&D's after 2 months since install and they are right on the money. I'll recheck periodically, but they show no signs of having need for adjustment. My previous hydraulic wasn't quite as consistant!
One of the ladies at work husband works for T&D. Maybe the parts have changed, but when I talked to him 4-5 years ago he told me that my dart heads may require machining to fit. It would make sense to make them just fit in place of the 7/16th studs and guide plates
I went to a meeting where the speaker was a SR-71 pilot. He's here in Reno for the National Air Races.
He talked for nearly 1 1/2 hours with a multi media presentation. The main point of his presentation was to live your dream. I was thinking on way home running my Vette through the gears with the tops off that I'm doing my dream.
Why should I stop now? My goal is next season to be driving a March F2 in historic racing.
ooooohhh that settles it... im definately getting a 427 SB to go along with my pipes.... and where did you get that "Objects in mirror are losing" sticker at?

It should make over 500hp/500tq at the wheels, we will see it will be going on the rollers when I get a few things sorted out.
GSC3 8 years now and it hasn't rumbled down the track. Problem is I would only get one pass with this motor then I would get yelled at and booted, that's if the tech inspection guys didn't red flag it immediately after I told them it was 350
My plans are to eventually set it up for road racing there are lots of tracks around here and it would be a fun to blast by a C6Z06 on the straights ( notice I said on the straights )
