middle console interchangeable??
Just a thought, is it feasible to take a middle console like that of a 76 and put into my 79L-82, with some minor alterations??? I'm not digging that cardboard backing carpet thing that is OE!!! I guess my other choice is to fab one out of fiber glass!

I think you would have to do it all to make it work, the E-brake cover, assembly, mounts...and then the center console mounts are all different too...along with accessories, and how it mounts to the gauge bezel. The gauge bezel is also different, so that might need to be changed with them, and that means gauges and senders.
