My '75 Roadster had a slight leak when it rains..just enough that I can feel it on my lower legs..drip...drip. The passenger side does it as well. My neighbor ('71 Coupe) told me to drop the top and look at the stainless sheet metal where the top meets the upper windshield frame. There are gaps where the sheet metal is. He told me that originally a compound like plumber's putty was used to stop the water from getting in there and running down the inner windshield post...so I did that. He's brilliant when it comes to technical stuff...and it helped a ton. I was wondering if the deck where the wiper motor is could be the rest of the problem. The sealant that was used from the factory is old and flacky...I was thinking about scraping off the loose stuff and putting black silicone around suspect areas. What do you think? Thanks.
Good ideas on both. Also check the weatherstripping on the soft top to make sure it isn't brittle. You can probably spend the next 10 years or so chasing down leaks. I get the major ones fixed right away, but I've still got one that continues to drip on my left leg when it is raining really hard. It takes a while to start, but when it does a towel is in order.

ALL soft top cars leak. It's the price you pay to be able to have the top down on those beautiful bright blue sky 75 degree days !! Just always have some clean towels on hand.

I had the same type of problem on my 75. When I would wash the car, there wouldn't be any leaks, but as soon as I drove the car in the rain the first time, I would be stepping in water. It turns out the leak was coming from the upper right gap (as said earlier) The water runs up the windshiel, then slowly falls through the gap. Sealant works great. Hope this helps. Leaks are a real aggrivation.
