got caught in a rain shower last year with mine.. spun out on the highway.... the car doesnt go out of the garage this time of year. or even if its cloudy in the summer time.
I owned 3 Vettes while living in the mountains of Colorado. I drove them all as daily drivers, never used chains. I never didn't go someplace because of the weather. Literally 10's of thousands of miles in snow, ice, rain, and combinations of all of the above. There are better cars for such conditions; but, it is amazing what the Vettes will do if you drive smoothly and use a light touch. I don't ever remember needing a tow due to weather problems.
Its snowing out right now in Pennsylvania and I just couldnt bring myself to roll the Vette out of the garage and subject it to all that salt. I drive mine all winter (Had it out yesterday) I just pick the good days to run it.

That's what I've been doing. But with this nasty snow I have to chose between the Vette or my other car, which by the way makes a really nice snow plow in 1/2 inch of snow.
Nice thing about Colorado is that they don't use salt on the roads when it snows. Only thing that stinks is that they lay down a TON of sand. After the snow melts the roads are covered with sand and I still have to drive mine in it. Drives me nuts. Need to get my Mustang running again so I have a daily driver.
