Default Plugs/Wires?

What would the gang out there recommend for new plug wires? We have a 71' with a 350 4spd. I have used Bosch plugs what about Delco wires?
Thanks wro87

They are good, and if it's a stock engine and stock car then that would be a good way to go. I needed some after market support for what I needed...larger wires, spiral core and shielding, and universal cut to fit application. I went with Taylor and Accel and have been very happy with both.

I like OEM, or Delco in your case.

I installed a Tach Drive HEI distributor in my '74 and wanted to keep the original wire routing and went with MSD wires. They worked great!

OK heres another direction as we get more into this car we found the original tack drive distributor in one of the boxes, the one in the car now is not a tachdrive. Should we up grade to a solid state system with the original one (no points/condensor) and if we should what is the best out there, I DO NOT want to do this twice.

THanks wro87

If it's electric and your tach works then you should keep the HEI system. Changing to the tach drive would require changing the tach as well.

GM went to HEI for good reasons.

For a non-HEI system it is pretty hard to beat the Delco custom-fit wires. And with R45TS plugs.

Since I am the one under the hood my son informed me the tach don't work. So i had him crawl under the dash and he found the drive unit and the tach will spin if you roll it. So now to avoid the issue of no more points and condensor which upgrade unit is the best.

I like the fact I can get delco wires ready to go and years ago we would always recommend AC plugs if it was GM. I will just have to start looking in JEGS or SUMMIT to see which solid state to go with.
Thanks gang WRO87

A few vendors sell an HEI distributor that's been modified to accept a tach drive cable. That will give you both HEI and a mechanical tach.
