oil cooler install
i was going to put an oil cooler in my 80 just wondering if anybody has installed one with headers in place any clearance issues with the cooler adapter and the oil filter being lower thanks for any info

Engine oil cooler? I have one, with a thermostat. You wouldn't want it without a thermostat. Plenty of clearance for the oil filter.
Thermostat:
Coolers: (use minimum -10 line, these are -12)
Moroso sandwich adapter (the gold colored part above the filter). It comes with NPT ports so you can buy NPT to AN adapters for the size you want.

Barnes has a real nice one, even with 2 -12 or -10 hookups but it's expensive. I don't know if anyone else has one. Do not buy the barnes one with a single inlet, it's for dry sump applications. Also, the one without the ports is just a 90 degree adapter, it bolts in place of the stock spin on adapter and as a result you won't be able to use a sandwich plate like the moroso one since that already takes that place.
