help me pin down axle ratio
ok so i determined that the axle is not my original one.
the markings on it are 0H008W9E
.
OH is a marking for later model years.
mine is a 72.
i determined that OH was used in
78 and 79 with a ratio of 3:55
and 80 with a ratio of 3:07
how do i determine now which ratio i actually have.
the only other markings on the axle housing is the stamp GM1.

If your speedo and tach are woking correctly then drive the car at 60mph in final drive gear and note the rpm's
my car has P225-70R-15 tires and turnes 2700 rpm's and is a 3:55
