383 rod question

I answered it a little in your other post but I am running a 5.7 rod. The guy who machined mine runs the exact rod in a 8600 rpm drag motor and has for 3 seasons without any failure. He did not like having the wrist pin into the oil ring. He said the minor gain in going to a 6 inch rod is far outweighed but having a stable oil ring. He is the expert and I have had no issues running a 5.7 rod. I understand the 6 inch rod has a little beter ratio but for a street motor I doubt you would see or feel any difference. My motor will never see 100,000+ miles either.

We have had zero problems with 383's and rings spacers in the past.
Mahle 6 inck rod pistons don't use ring spacers with their ring package.
