I'm working on a 1982 Crossfire Vette, I installed some new interior parts such as the console and gauge cluster. When I finished the car, It wouldn't start. I didn't do anything with the wiring, except plug everything in. Now when you crank the engine and turn the key off the injectors keep dumping gas into the engine and the heat/ac blower relay buzzes along with the key warning buzzer. It don't stop until the battery is disconected, I can't find anything wrong. Anybody have some ideas, I'm stumped.
You have some wires backwards. I have no idea which ones at this point.
Can you give us a list of the wiring that you disconnected and reconnected while working on the interior?
It could be a lot of things. Sounds electrical.Did it do this before you replaced the guage cluster? Did you put the plug back in on the back of the cluster correctly? Have any of the copper strands on the circuit board shifted? Are the colored insulators on the back of the plate the guage circuit board is attached to?
Its probably all related. But....Remove the air cleaner and disconnect the plugs on each injector. Kick it over. Do the injectors still dump gas?
Next thing you can do is unplug the center guages and try kicking it over. If it doesn't do the samething you may be able to isolate the problem.
Check the fuse in the battery compartment near the ECM as well.
When I got the car the gauges and the console were all apart, I put them all back together and installed them. I did start the car after the gauges were installed to make sure everything worked, at that time it ran fine and the gauges, lights and switches all worked. When I finally finished it up a couple days later the battery was weak and wouldn't turn it over. I removed the battery and charged it, thats when this nightmare started. I'm starting to think it's the ignition switch, because the key has been getting stuck in different positions. I don't think its the lock cylinder, I've had cars with worn keys and cylinders and never had this much trouble turning them. So I'm wondering if the switch is bad, It don't seem to act up until I start cranking the engine. Any other Ideas are welcome.......
My guess is the ECM is fried from the low voltage. Id try to swap it out with a new one, posibly one with a PROM already installed, so you have zero crossover of components to rule this out.
If thats not it, then you can start chasing wires, possibly associated to the injectors.
Also get the GM Helms RED shop manual for 1982 Corvette. It will help you more than anything else.

Thats a logical guess. I was going to suggest the ignition switch from what I see in the repair manual. The pink wires coming out of it supply most of the the things malfuntioning. I believe the brown is for the heater/ac.
