1) It diesels after being driven
Make sure it has good gas (premium) and check the timing. then plugs, wires and normal tune up.
2) Tach stuck between 20 and 25
check the wires at the distributor, if everything is intact there are several vendors who rebuild guages
3) Driver's side door power window switch broken
switch is still available from GM last time I checked, could be wiring behing the door panel
4) Rear defrost doesnt work-probably the switch? (Switch does not light up)
When I bought my '79 1 strip of the defogger worked, I just unhooked it
5) Reverse light out (big deal-its a bulb)
like you said, not a big deal
6) Needs new oil pressure gage (unless its supposed to stay at 40-even when the car is off?)
check the pressure sending unit just above the oil filter
7) Needs new power antenna (Still has the antenna, just doesnt go up/down)
power replacements can be had for about $100
8) Auto Trans needs something-it can be accidentally bumped into N from 3
normal, but you should have to depress the button to get into reverse
9) Interior light does not work-might be a burnt out bulb
try a new bulb, then go wire hunting

:seeya Welcome VetteKitty  Sounds like a pretty good driver  A tune up and oil change would be a good start and also check the timing :yesnod: Some of the other items listed need to be check before replacing them :yesnod: You should post them each one individually ;)

"8) Auto Trans needs something-it can be accidentally bumped into N from 3"

I don't think this is a discrepancy. I've never seen or driven a car that has a lockout between Neutral and Drive (or 3).

Anyway, congratulations. I have a '79 too. :chevy
