Why are you running such a narrow tire up front? I run a 255 45 17 up front with a 275 40 18 rear. I do run a 10 inch rim out back on stock trailing arms with e brake cable rerouted. My spring is 1/2 shorter on both sides and the rear sway bar will not fit.

The reason is I want the same profile front and rear. But I know the rear tire i a little larger in diameter. And I need the ground clearance 225/55-17 gives me. I have 3.5" collector on my Hooker headers.

So I cant fit an 10" wide rim rear without shortening my spring and remove my sway bar?

If i choose 8" wide rim rear what backspacing should I choose? and is 255 a good choise för 8"?

You can fit a 10 inch rim. It is tight but does fit. Mine have a 5.5 backspace. Not sure on the spring. It would be very close to having the spring contact the rim. The sway bar, no way will the stock style sway bar fit. If yo urun a 8 inch rim which is stock size a 4 inch backspace is needed. The 255 tire will work very good. I just wanted as much rubber as I could fit.

Okey!

thanks for the info
I am considering 245/50-17 front and 255/50-18 rear. rear wheel bigger but i kinda like it that way.

so 4" backspace both front and rear, do you think that will look funny?

Should not be to bad. The fronts are a 4.8 inch sidewall and a 26.6 diameter. rear will be a 5 inch side wall and a 28 inch diameter. Yes a 4 inch backspace front and rear if you are going to a 8 inch wide rim.

Yes they will. I was going to go that size but the TTIIs did not come in a 9.5 size.

Can't say about your poly spring, but I have 275/40/18 on a 9.5" rim with 4 7/8" backspacing with well over 1/2" clerance to anything. I would to 5 1/4" backspacing next time. Stock trailing arms, no ebrake cable.

Yes I am. I talked to them a few times. The 18X10 is a custom order rim. They make them in batches of 20 or 30 at a time. The first two I waited for 6 weeks. 1 of them was bent. The next one took 1 week, it was bent. I had another in 3 days it was fine. They had a few of them is stock due to they make a few more than ordered.

I run 275-40/18 tires on 18x9.5" rims, stock trailing arms, modified sway bar. But stay tuned. I just removed my stock trailing arms and am having offset trailing arms built up. I hope to run 18x10.5 rims with 295-35/18s with the offset TAs and modified sway bar. Stay tuned.
