Default 80 Dash install question

Hello, I am try to put the dash back into to my 80 after a year and a half. I had pictures but my computer crashed a I didn't back them up. Anyway my question has to do with the defroster duct connecting to the Heater & DEF ASM. I never removed the Heater & DEF ASM, so that should be correct. When I screw in the defroster duct under the dash, there is about a two inch gap between the two. On the right side of the Heater & DEF ASM, there is a hole that looks like something screwed into it. I looked in the assembly manual and I can't find what I am missing. Is there a small piece that I am missing that goes between the to parts? Any info would be very helpful, Thanks!

No, That is a gap from the factory. I used duct tape to seal it

Its hard to see but there is tape between the defroster duct and buttom duct

Hope this helps

Yes, that helps a lot. I have been looking for a part that doesn't exist. Did it have some kind of tape on it from the factory that I forgot about?
