Default Solid Lifter Cam

If I have a solid lifter cam and don't know what kind it is, do I treat it like a 30/30 cam and lash it like you would a 30/30?

Big lash clearances can really beat up a cam. You're better off to adjust a little tight and see how it acts. When I was running the GM off-road cam I set it at .018 and .022 hot.
