Shameless PLUG or S.E.M. products
picked up a can of SEM's new fiberglass repair .. Part number 39492 its a non swelling Plastic Panel filler.. used just like the cloth and resin.. without cloth.. its used for stress cracks on SMC panels (post 69 vettes) simply v out the crack, sand it to where you think the body is straight, apply this material on like bondo. and after about 15 minutes you sand it flush.. this acts like an epoxy and it works wonders.. I've never used anything so good for fiberglass.. 100% cleaner, and less messy then cloth and resin.. being in the auto body field for 4 years, and have done 3 vettes the old fashioned way of cloth, i highly reccomend this material for any one to use.. its extremely EASY to work with.. retails for around $25.00 and will make your repaint so much easier.. and less time consuming. :cheers:
