Steering Wheel 'Wiggles'

Can someone tell me how I can tighten up my steering wheel...?

How do I remove the steering wheel? this is on a 1982 vette.

There is a bit of a wiggle... feels loose.

Update: I managed to get the steering assembly apart and managed to get everything tightened up. even got the horn working properly.

does it still have the slop? sounds like it could be the rag joint. only place where you can get that much wiggle.

are you talking about wiggle like when you turn left or right or wiggle up and down in the tilt part?

With an all new front steering, I had a noticeable play in my steering. Turns out the steering box was out of adjustment, even though it was purchased new.

If the steering coupler is the cause of the steering wheel play, I think you will be able to see the play. I think you could grab the steering column side of the coupler and wiggle it and see if the steering box side of the coupler moved accordingly.
