Default 81 corvette heads

Hi, i have a 81 corvette and i was hoping somone would know what the cc's are on the intake runner of the heads, i am in the procces of overhaualing it. so any info or place i can find this info would be grately helpful.

You didn't say which casting # but less just than 160 cc would be and accurate number. I have double hump 186 castings and stock they were only 165 cc

The 624 casting head, which is what came on the '81, is a 76cc thin casting smog head, prone to running hot and cracking, and as has been said, probably has an intake volume of something around or under 160cc. The 624 has an extra bend / obstruction in the intake runner by the valve guide boss, or something like that which makes it worse than other small block OEM heads.

624 heads not recommended for performance applications, go after market or for something like the 993s (76cc) or 186s (64cc), if you want chevy heads.
