Default Carburetor Changes ????????

Im a little undecided on what to go with in a new carb. my choices are edelbrock 650 avs or a holly 650 #82651 . I curently have a edelbrock 600 that was given to me when i first built the engine so now its time for a new one . What changes would i have to make on my corrent set up to go with a holly ? Can i still use my drop base, fuel line conections, throtle link ,is it taller than a edelbrock ?

OK, that pretty much dictates "square bore" carb, but you'd better check your hood clearance.....

Can't rebuild the carb you have?

a air gap manifold (in my opinion) needs a carb such as a holley double pumper or a BG mighty demon since the manifold does not have the heat that is needed to properly vaporize the a/f mixture at lower engine speeds/loads. the 650 edelbrock thunder can be tuned to work but the acc pump is quite weak.,Plus the carter/edelbrock carbs are not the best if you like to do high speed cornering.

I hope this helps Henry @ olescarb
