Default help choosing mufflers

I need help choosing mufflers. My engine will have a comp cam roller cam, high compression pistons, Wrapped headers yada yada yada....
anyway before last comp cam wiped the car sounded like an old delivery truck because of the headers and cam.
I want to quieten it down and get a nice rumble that makes people look but not laugh.
any ideas?

Magnaflow has a new system available for the C3 that sounds like what you are looking for. They have video/sound clips on their website.

I LOVE the sound of Magnaflow mufflers. I have upgraded one two cars, my Durango and one of my Vettes. I went from stock to Flowmaster...which I did not like, then to Magnaflow, which I liked very much.

I have Flowmaster 40's on my 82 and I'm leaning towards changing them to Magnaflow. Can't stand the rapppppppppp of the Flowmaster any longer. I want a nice steady rumble not an ear shattering brrrrrrrrappppppppp every time I hit the pedal.

Dynomax Super Turbos for me,..they have a very deep mellow tone much like the muscle cars of the 60's. I think they sound better with age and they'e made by Walker, one of the best.

Flowmaster Super 40's or 44's, also the design of the system effects the sound of all mufflers, flowmasters like x pipes they really seem to help the sound out. The Hushpower mufflers sound good too

I have Monza turbos on my 78 L-82 4 spd with Mcjack's shorty headers and true 2.5 in duals and I really like the sound. It's more of smooth rumble rather than the traditional more staccato 60's sounds. It's very different than the traditional muffler sound. I also have Magnaflows on my 94 mustang GT with BBk shorty headers which is very nice as well. The Magnaflows are stainless steel and really made quite well. Your choice.

I had Flowmasters on my 79 with a 350 10 to 1 comp., headers, dual exhaust for a very short time because it sounded like crap. I went with Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers and now my car sounds much much better but loud! Much quieter than the Flowmasters inside the car!

I have flowmaster super 40s with an H pipe on my 78 with a 406. It rumbles nicely.

In comparison though, I have flowmaster 2 chamber 40 series on a 355ci in my 93 chevy truck. These are loud and nasty with true duals.. the super 40s and duals are alot deeper and clean.
