defrost valve on 76?
How do you test The vacuum controlled valve on the rh kick panel?
If you manually put vacuum on the port will it open the vent?

This part is actually called the fresh air door vent and if you are putting vacuum on it and the door is opening, then you have a problem somewhere else. Probably a vacuum hose loose or a defective vacuum select switch in the heater control.

Thank you. The majority of the interior is apart, I figured since it was apart I should check the 2 vacuum valves. How do I check them? The other one is located along the firewall. I purchased the car with the majority of the interior disassembled and of course nothing was labeled.
