Default Gaskets

I have a Quad and am having a hard time finding the correct base gasket,it's a 73 with a stock dual plane intake it has the little smiley cut out on the intake the parts guys gave me a few diff one's the car ran like crap w all of them. The one that was on it had a cut out on the choke end. I bought another 750 looks just like the old carb, but i don't get vac in the same ports. I just picked up a edelbrock alm plane but have not put it on yet it does not have the smiley face ,maybe I'll have better luck with that.

the smiley face is the heat cross over for the divorced choke. the right gasket will have this same thing, plus you will need a Qjet heat shield in order for it to work properly

here is the gasket

here is the heat shield, its metal BTW

the gasket goes to the manifold, the heat sheild goes to the carb, once you swap ot the intake, you can use the gasket i am guessign you already have withthe single large opening
