Have an 82 vette. Windshield wipers were stuttering when working. In order words they were not providing a smooth clean sweep. Changed the motor twice, changed the blades and installed a new wiper switch. Same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks
I am not sure about your year, but have you cleaned and lubricated all of the moving parts with respect to the rod that ties the two wipers together. Binding and excess slop here could cause what you describe.
for my car this was the fix.
New wiper blades.
your wipers are at the wrong angle to the windshield. The rubber part that contacts the windshield may be too long, thus it does not roll over as it gets to the end of the swipe to go back the other way.
you can try to bend the wiper arms.
or try wiper blades that have a softer rubber, or a different thickness of rubber on the blade.
The cheap one work the best for me
pull the motor off, manually rotate the blades thru full cycle,
I would suypect they are binding and you may need to adjust/lube the pivot points.
try it also without the blade arms installed. 69VETT
