Default #2 and 3 body mount question

Are 2 and 3 mount bolts held by a capture nut? The bolts in mine are spinning and I just cant see inside the frame. There is a slot in the frame near where the nut might be. By the way its for a 69.

thanks Ray

Yes, both # 2 & 3 are capture nuts and both are tough to deal with. I used a Dremel tools with a cut-off wheel to remove the bolt heads on mine.

Not much fun.

Good luck

captive cage & nut sit on top of frame for # 2 & 3. going into slot will not help you.

pretty much impossible to do any thing with the body on.
you will need to cut the head of the bolt off and replace the nut once the body is off I used lots of Antiseize when I reassembled mine.

Thanks guys it looks like I have some grinding to do.I was going to just change the bushings but now I think I'll take the body off and do a complete frame off resto Oh one more thing I have solid mounts I have seen some threads using rubber mounts anyone here do that?
And again thank you for all the responses, they helped immensely.

Thanks Ray

I used the rubber body mounts, the solid ones probably transfer more vibration / noise.
