Occasionally I get a flicking noise from the drivers side rear tire or wheel area. It seems to happen only at lower speeds. Sounds as if something is catching and then letting loose. I can't seem to see anything. Any help???
Thanks
This is a common problem with these cars. It's probably the clutches grabbing in the rearend. I would change the rearend gear oil and be SURE to add a bottle of the posi-traction additive. My car made the same noise when I bought it, and this stopped it. Some will recommend the dino gear oil, others say 100% synthetic. I personnely used 100% synthetic gear oil and the posi additive, and have had no problems for nearly two years. It could be other things, such as parking brake shoes grabbing, rear wheel bearings, etc., but I would change the gear oil first and see if that fixes it.

If it's coming from the rear wheel, I’d start be jacking it up and checking the ½ shaft U joints. They’ll click when they’re badly worn. They are a wear item and I always check the easy stuff first.
Could be wheel bearings but, normally, they’re more likely to squeak or squeal when they’re shot.
Had a clicking sound same wheel. Figured it was a part loose in the parking brake.
There are unhooked/no cable so I can't engage them to see if they function.
Maybe you could engage yours jack her up and see if that wheel holds.
Hmm? ya drove me nuts but since has stopped.
Offset T-arms install soon so hope to find out what it was!
