Strange Power Steering Leak Question
Suspect power steering control value and/or hose is leaking but I’m not sure. After driving at 35+ mph for 10 or so miles, I see thin lines of oil like fluid sprayed on the inside of driver’s side tire and rim. They start near the center and travel to the outer edge of the tire. They form a perfect pattern, as if something pulsating at a regular interval was spraying a very fine jet towards the inside of the tire while it is moving. The power steering control value has minor amounts grease and fluid collected on it and I see some fluid collecting above the value between the frame and pitman arm steering box. No leaks are evident near the power steering pump. Has anyone seen this?
