76 exhaust
I just bought a 76 and niot to familiar with them, but I smell exhaust in the car and the xhaust is fairly new and i can't see any leaks.
Is this a commom problem with them?

Congratulations on your new old car. I have a 76 too. Owned it since 1982. you should not be smelling any exhaust in the cabin. Like a previous poster suggested, if the exhaust system is new, something is probably not tightened up. Check all the connections for leaks.

'76 here and no exhaust smell...you have a leak. The lowest point on my car is the exhaust u-bolt clamps located about a foot behind front wheel, they were installed with open end pointing down, surprised I haven't whacked 'em yet with the roads around here (sneaky s.o.b. speed bumps too which I saw just in time). I would think either there or likely header/exhaust manifold, anyplace behind those I wouldn't think you would smell unless parked.
