Funny how life is... a microsecond later in time and the driver of the vette would be dead. Same kind of thing happened to the wife in the 84 Camaro... breezing through an intersection right next to the house and an idiot runs a red light and plows full speed into the Camaro drivers side front fender - a split second later and I have to go wife hunting all over again.
Honestly it looks like the vette could be restored starting with a new frame - but insurance will clearly not begin to pay the cost of that kind of restoration... A lawsuit to close the gap may help.
