Use Seafoam...pour it slowly down the brake booster vacuum line and it will do two things...clean out the induction system and smoke up the neighborhood. It may also make necessary a change in spark plugs as all kinds of crap will be flying around the combustion chambers.
Adding to the gas tank is good, but directly through the induction system is faster and more effective. It's good stuff.
