Default 75 Coupe electrical problem

The fuse for all instruments, power windows is blowing. I'm not sure where to start looking. The car had been sitting before this happened. I did have a door ajar switch that failed, not sure which one. So I thought big deal, I'll get another. It starts and drives fine. The heater core leaked last year putting the leak inside at the passengers floor.

Not sure what your meaning. Are all the instruments lights out and the power windows dont work?Or do you mean the gauges like fuel, temp and oil pressure dont work?

Instruments do not work, tach, fuel, oil psi, volt meter, temperature, power windows. All on the same circuit. I can't remember if the fuse blows at engine start or when the ignition switch is turned on. I will check this tomorrow. The aftermarket radio has not worked for years, same for the clock.

On your fuse block there should be a wire pink/black tracer that plugs in the ignition port....unplug that wire and see if that eliminates your short....thats part of your window circuit. If that doesnt help then it looks like your going to be removing the center cluster and looking for a shorted pink wire that feeds the gauges.

I'll look for the wire, probably in two days. Thanks
