does anyone know where i can get a fuel tank sender that is made to accept AN fittings for supply and return? or is there a way to modify the existing tank? want to plumb my car with AN-8 from the tank to the pump, AN-6 pump to carb and then -6 back to the tank for the bypass.

Your local speed shop should be able to supply adapters to go from AN to whatever you want. The AN stuff isnt cheap though, and so I am skipping it to spend my money on other things.

The stock supply from the tank is 3/8" or -6 AN. You can cut off the barb and use an AN fitting on it, but it will only be -6 not the -8 you want.

You can also put a sump in the tank. You have to weld it to the bottom of the tank which is no big deal as long as you drain it, and let it air out. I read about something you can put in there to neutralize any gas fumes that may remain also.

Summit sells the sumps.

As 70 LS1 says, Summit or Jegs sells sumps that can be welded into your existing tank. I think you can get these sumps with your choice of fittings.
There are several guys in our town that did this to run bigger fuel line and not have to run a fuel cell.

I ran across this in a recent Chevy Highperformance advertisement for Aeromotive. Check out there Stealth Systems P/N 18651.

here's my situation. i want to replumb the entire fuel system. the sump idea is really good and i think i'll do that. where i'm running into a problem is what size line should i use. according to the simulation my combination should make about 550 HP and 500 FT LBS at 6500 rpm. now, if we take away some for the BS factor let's call it 500 HP and 450tork.

option A
-10 from the sump to the input side of the engine driven fuel pump
-8 from the pump to the carb
-6 return to tank

option B
-8 sump to pump
-6 pump to carb
-6 return to tank

i've looked all over for a chart that says if you make this much power your fuel system need to look like this: insert picture here. i found a diagram on barry grants website but i'm still unsure. any info would be cool

thanks
