I bought an MSA full-face respirator on E-Bay to use while painting the car. I’d like to make some tear-off lens covers so as not to ruin the lens. Has anyone made his or her own tear-offs? What materials did you use and how did you fasten them to the mask?
You might try using transparencies like you would buy at an office supply store. If that's thicker than what you're looking for, maybe try Saran wrap. It's cheap and low-tech... like me.
There is a product called "Friskette" that is used for airbrush painting.
It is like a clear contact paper, but is designed to come off of paper
without damaging it. I am sure that it will also come off of the lenses with
no problem.
It is available in most art supply stores. It comes in rolls like Saran Wrap.
