Won't hurt a thing. If you are planning wider 15 or 16 rims and tires it is going to be needed.

...but, just to add, IMHO avoid poly bushed TA's as they move in more than one plane during suspension travel. Also, with deeper back-spaced wheels (max BS is realistically ~5" w/15's) you'll likely need a clipped width rear main leaf. Got mine from Guldstrand, but I believe VB&P among others can take care of that too.

My offset trailing arms are from Van Steel and I'm very happy with them. I say go for it.

The tires will be hitting the frame as well as the arms. Look straight up from underneath the car and you'll see.

I agree, you will not be able to get that much more backspacing from the offfset arms because of the frame. I have 4 3/4 backspacing on both my 16 inch CCW's and 17" TT2's. I'll do the same when I buy my 18X11 CCW's. You will need to trim the spring for 16's might be all right with 17's depending on car height and no problem with 18's....I hope. I did have to route my emergency brake cable to the backside of the trailing arms. That said I do own a set of double offset arms which I will put on someday but for the extra ridgity.

Stock T/A's, parking brake cable in the stock location, sway bar, stock (F-41) spring, stock spring bolts, with 17x9 4" backspace wheels with 285/40 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. The inner diameter of the wheel is OUTSIDE of the end of the spring and everything else. Lots of room on the inside.
