I have a high torque BB with a 4sp and just bought 4 Brute Force ujoints for the halfshafts because I couldn't find Spicers and then saw some negative comments about the BFs in a post here on the forum. Which ones do you all recommend? I drive the car like it should be driven and occasionally hit the track. Should I take the BFs back and get Spicers or will the BFs hold up? I don't want to be doing this over and over again. Thanks for your opinions!
I too would like to hear what everyone has to say.
I hate to say it but I put my drive train together about a year and replaced all of the U-Joints with the U-Joints they sell in the MidAmerican catalog.
They have grease zirts which a number of people claim are weaker than the ones that do not have grease zerts.
I have yet to drive the car but feel really un-easy about driving it with the U-Joints I have in it.
I do believe before I drive for the first time I will replace all of them with the ones people think are the strongest.
I have Spicer ujoints but that is what the driveshaft shop recomended. He builds his own shafts. Don't know about the BF ones. The Spicers are holding up fine. I do abuse them as much as possible.
The performance shop that rebuilt my rear used Spicer non greaseables.
I've heard only good things about Brute Force joints and they're like half the price of Spicers.
Many use BF w/ high HP setups & are happy w/ them, several topics on this before (only one problem which was reported recently & who knows why that one broke).
