I remember that very well. If I do the tranny swap I should go with a OD also. I'm just trying to figure if it is worth the money for the amount I drive this. I might just redo the Muncie and see if it holds up. I have to get it apart to see what it looks like. Mike how are the headlights coming along

Joe, thanks for the info it looks like a fairly straight forward install.

Hey, great picture Mike! We should all get together again once the weather breaks.

I thought about the O/D issue, but for me is just doesn't matter. In the end, a 1:1 fifth with a 3.08 axle is as good on the highway as a .6 O/D with a 3.70 axle. I'll have a larger spread through the gears, but that's a good thing with my planned 540. For engines like yours, you should be able to use the extra gear since you'll spin around 7000 rpms. It will be easier to stay in the powerband. I'd probably go for the 6-speed too if it wasn't for the 2x price!

Hey Joe...You know Atco is still open right? I think a bunch of the guys from the NE are going to head down there this sunday... check out the NE section for details. I don't know if I'll have my car there (due to the headlights being out of it) but if the weather holds out I'll definately show up ... maybe I'll race the yuppie mobile!
