Bypass the heater core?

The heater core may not be the problem but the valve that is supposed to close off the hot fluid might not be working. It's vacuum controlled. The selector may be bad, as well as the valve may be stuck open. Something to look into before bypassing it.

if it is really that bad then i think this may be the problem, had this go wrong in a biplane i was flying, i thought my feet were on fire by the time i landed
