Good Deal for a '76?
I found a '76 Corvette with the L82 and a 4 speed a few hours away for $6100. Ive asked for more pics but it doesnt look too bad. The owner said it needs exhaust repairs and paint prep and body work. From the pics Ive seen it looks like the rear bumper doesnt line up like it should but I dont think its been wrecked or anything like that. Anyways if thats all it needs how good of a deal is this?

Too many other issues to say, really.
Lots of threads on this, but look into frame rust, especially around the bird cage. Test drive it, etc. I'm not sure about classic cars, but a rule of thumb I give to other people looking to buy used cars.....when you do test drive it, drive the living crap out of it. Beat on it.
