Default Replace those vacuum actuated headlights

I happened upon this how-to with a simple Google search, I just might have to try it as my pop-ups are weak (even weaker shutting 'em off).

It is cheaper to fix what you have than to go electric.

That depends on what's wrong with the original system. If everything's shot, it'll be expensive to fix.

I've converted mine to electric and it cost me around $350 - not too bad for lights that now go up and down fast enough to draw blood if you have fingers in the way

Not only that, but so it seems the witches hat stem seals for the canister/motors are not worth a flip, and have a history of failure rather quickly.....been that way for years now....I remember my first set failing, then the second set was tied with tie wraps over the actuator stem...they lasted some 2 years, untill the accident that broke them all up....but a few years later, I found the hat seals had split anyway......

The set from mcspeed.com Chris, 69myway is the place to get parts from....AFAIK he was the first and from what I see above, I think his system is simpler too....
