Default 1982 Collector Corvette, won't start

Hi, I have an 82 Collector series which was running & driving perfectly until I was driving in a bad electrical storm when lightning struck right next to us, the car stopped & everything was dead except for the headlights, both high & low beam are the only thing that works. I have checked all fuses , no problem, it may be a coincidence as I hit a bump in the road around the same time.
Has anyone any ideas? where should I start looking? could it be the computor, I am in Australia so I dont want to buy a computor from the U.S. if there may be a simple explanation.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob.

Start with the basics. I would check all the grounds then fusible links. Start at the battery and work your way through the electrical system logically to locate damage.

Do you have good electrical schematics?

Thanks for your replies. I Also think that the computer could be fried.
I don't have any wiring diagrams but all the fuses are OK. Could anyone tell me the location of the fusable links?

Starter, alternator, fuse panel typically. Sometimes at the battery.

The wiring appears to be larger at the link, but in fact is smaller wiring wrapped in insulation which gives the appearance of larger wiring. When you locate one link you will now what they look like, making it easier to locate additional ones. They are normally exposed wires (not wrapped in a loom). A burnt link would show signs of expansion on a spot within the insulation, if not complete burn-through.

The power to the 82 is fed through the starter. There are 2 fusible links there. Positive wire from battery goes directly to the starter. If your gauges or other interior lights are not working start there. Just to be on the safe side, make sure your main grounds are connected.
