I completed my Dynamat install last May. I recently got the car running a couple weeks ago and found out how badly I need new weatherstripping with all the cold air and wind blowing in on the driver's side especially.....
Any suggestions/tips as to how to go about completing this job?
I plan to buy the weatherstripping off of ebay...... I'm not paying Eckler's $370.00 for it... no way....

Bob I just did a quick search at Willcox and found your '74 weatherstripping for ONLY $229.00. That's not too bad. Be thankful you don't have a '68 and have to buy a '68 only set.
Also the sets you get from Willcox are the CRC rubber and it is supposed to be the BEST. I just received mine and it looks great. I won't be putting it on until later though.
cvnobles: I see we posted at the same time. Your set is $230.00

Get some "3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner" and some black 3m adhesive from your local auto or paint supply store and cover the seats and carpet so they don't get stained. PG.

We also advise our customers to either purchase the AIM which has detailed instructions on how to adjust the door glass and the t-tops or they can view the door glass adjustment instructions on our site at this link.
It's always smart to check the screws and the "blow out" clips on the pillar weatherstrip. We have them new, but you can also re-coat them with the tool rubber compound from Wal-Mart. It comes in black and all you have to do is strip the old rubber off and dip them.
Thanks to all. Especially Willcox Corvette. I will put in an order for the weatherstripping from Willcox on the morning of the 30th. Thanks for suggesting them as a supplier.

I went with Wilcox. Significantly lower, a pleasure to deal with. I will say this however. I am a bit disappointed in the strips that go along the windshield support arms by the front of the doors/windows. The originals had a metal sleeve in them so you could actually attach them with screws. The Wilcox ones seem to be missing that. Now that may be something that they all lack, but its really a must IMO. Otherwise it means about 1 or 2 days of duct tape and 3M and patience.

Thanks- I'll look out for that! Anyone else have the same problem?
