fast question for you guys
are the side mirrors on later model corvettes ,the fiberglass ones,the same as the firebird and camaro side mirrors?I was told they were by someone selling side mirrors for corvette on ebay.Is this true?I thought the corvette ones were a little taller then the other two.

The later ones aren't fiberglass as far as I know. At least on my '78 they aren't. They are metal but painted body color. I also have an '80 Firebird and the mirrors are metal on it as well. They are not identical. The mirror portion seems to be the same but the stanchion is different between the two. The F-body has a shorter one (by maybe a 1/2") and there is a screw in the back of it.

Burners and CTvette78 are both correct. While the head is pretty darn close to the Corvette, the F body cars were not as tall and the angle was slightly different.

sorry for saying fiberglass i thought they were,but they are different then,i thought the corvette was taller.These guys on ebay are tring to sell firebird mirrors as corvette.
