So my short block got here finally yesterday . I am about ready to bolt the heads on. I got a new set of ARP head bolts. However after reading the pack of bolt lubricant included with them, they recommend also using ARP "PTFE based thread sealant".
1. Do I use the assembly lube in addition to a thread sealant? How do I keep them from mixing/interfering with each other?
2. Should I wait until I can get this special ARP sealant, or can I just use something like permatex blue or black and be just as good?
Trick Flow recommended Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket sealent liquid #80019 for their aluminum heads. I used it and liked it alot. Its great for just about any oil/antifreeze sealing applicaition.

I've used it on every motor I've built, more than 5, less than 50,000
