I have a drip in the area of the power steering control valve. More specifically the drip is where the grease fitting is. It may be coming from elsewhere though.
Does a leak here mean the control valve should be replaced? If so where is the best place to purchase/avoid off shore parts?
I would first clean everything - hoses, control valve, etc. You can use a spray can of brake cleaner and some clean rags. Do it when the engine is cool. Once everything is clean and wiped down, drive the car a little and then check to see where the leak is coming from. It could be coming from several places. Look at the PS pump, then hoses and work your way back. with any luck it will be a hose. They aren't too difficult or expensive to replace.

The leaks usually come from the lines above the control valve. Just fixed one of mine. A brand new faulty return line was leaking down onto the control valve. If you can get it up on a lift after driving and wipe it down and watch you will find it.
Had the same problem. I took a shot and put in some power steering stop leak. It worked. Never leak again. Before, I cleaned and tighten everything and I still had a leak. Try it you have nothing to lose.
Put some STP PS fluid with the stop leak in it. No help. The lines and pump look amazingly dry just the valve is drenched. After looking at an exploded view of the PS control valve I have decided to buy a new one. Lots of seals and possibilities for leaks. I believe there was a post about someone who had an O ring in the wrong place that blocked flow. I am told that the rebuilts are bench tested and ready to go.

That is just ATF. It swells the seals, then they don't last as long.
Worked for me too! Very cool! Anyone know if they make stop leak for front brake cylinders?
