On a TH350 which is the outlet & which is the inlet fittings on the trans? I'm installing a trans cooler and was curious? Also I dont want to mess around trying to adapt AN lines to my stock radiator cooling fittings, will it matter if I just cap off the radiator & use the auxilary cooler only? It's a B&M race unit (28,000 GVW) 8"X11"X1-1/2"
Cherrybomb,
I've just fitted a cooler to my '74, which has a 400. It's a circular finned one with inlet and outlet at the same end and I mounted it transversly across the front of the crossmember, where it will pick up a good air flow. I bought a pipe bender, some inverted flare fittings and some bundy tubing and made up some new lines. I cut the old lines under the crossmember ( above the lower A-arm ) and joined them there.
Years ago I replaced the stock fan and shroud with an electric/fabricated unit, so have plenty of room there. The benefit is that the fan will blow right onto the cooler when the water gets hot enough to switch it on.

Top line; the one that is hard to get at, is the return line.
