Default mufflers

So, I have more or less ironed out the kinks with how to get my exhaust to work within the confines of my ideal ride height, and the after market rear suspension. The last thing on this list, though, are mufflers.

I have a summit catalouge, and there are a couple choices that jump out at me, for various reasons.

1. Hushpower - It's thin, so I can tuck it up higher, and it's also narrow, making more room should I need it on the sides. The MAIN thing, though, is it CLAIMS to have some sort of "Cool Shell Tech.", which would keep it cooler, so I could technically safely hang it higher, without worrying about the underside of the car. $139.95 each

2. Edelbrock SDT - Again, it's small, and it advertises the ability to keep relatively cool. $91.95 each

I come to you guys confused, however. What is the difference in prices mean? Some are 130 each, and others are 40 bucks each, all advertising basically the same thing. Some of the cheap ones are name brand, as well, like magnaflow. However, the only 2 I listed are the only two that advertise some sort of means of staying cool, which is what I am after. I plan to heat wrap the pipes, but I don't imagine I could do that too effectively to the muffler itself. Anyone tried any of these products? I mean, anyone with a LOWERED car, try any of these products?

I know it’s not been talked about on this forum yet. But Spiral Turbo has inserts out for Hot Rods. They are the same as the ones in the side pipes but they mount in the inside the exhaust pipe. They are 12” long and available in 2 ¼, 2 ½, 3” and 4” dia. If you need ground clearance this is the way to go. The ones I have put on seam to work best mounted just in front of the exhaust tips. www.spiralturbobaffles.com

Interesting.

I sent the dude an email, asking a few questions.

Anyone else heard of this, tried this? Or have any other suggestions?
