clutch noise???
Now for the problem: There's a ticking noise coming from the new clutch. If I move the fork so the bearing is not touching the fingers there is no noise. As soon as the bearing touches the fingers it starts to make a ticking noise. If I push the pedal all in the noise gets deeper. The sound is metalic. I pulled the trans out and replaced the throwout bearing, put it all back together and the noise is still there! The clutch feels good and the trans is easy to shift. Haven't driven it yet other than up and down the driveway. This problem has me baffle. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Steve K.

At Vtechcorvette.com be sure the fork fingers are all inside the trough ou bearing. Check through the rubber boot on the bell housing. Yes take off the inspectopn cover and look arund.
We had a customer a few years ago who complained about the same type of noise. Turned out to be the worn out flapper on the RH exhaust header. Have some one else check also while you run the clutch. EaR SCREWDRIVER TRICK.
