Default need help choosing headers and sidepipes

I'm a new vette owner w/ an 81. Very nice, good running car w/ 26000 miles. Would like to install headers and sidepipes. The engine is a stock 350.Can anyone recommended what mfg. to use and approximate cost to have this done. New to the forum and thanks up front for the help. The forum has alot of great information and can be very entertaining at times!!!

Your best bet is a set of Hooker side exhaust headers and pipe assemblies. Just saw an (E-bay?) ad for used set, so that would save you some coin. Other options are Heddman side exhaust headers with some other brand of side pipes, or even home-made pipes like mine. Mine was equipped with them stock, but they were long gone and it had a set of Thrush side pipes that were junk, Heck, they were dragging on the ground when I loaded it up!

Nice purchase! Got some seriously low miles, I wouldn't change much. Post some pictures, it's almost required here...

Make sure you check out jet hot. They look great and are priced better than places like summit or jegs. I think with the forum deal it comes out around $1000. They are worth the money. Search for them on here to see some pics.

Whatever brand you get, be sure it has the O2 bung installed!

I have Jet Hot Hookers on my 1971. The finish is a little more milky than chrome or polished stainless, but should last a long time.

To OP what state do you live? Many states you are required to not alter the exhaust. So you should check to see if you will be in violation in your state first.
