Anyone ever use one of these? Saw it on YearOne. Is it really that simple? I already have an electric fuel pump, seems like a pretty easy install. I'm not sure what it means by "tunes itself to your driving style" ... sometimes I'm cruising, other times I'm hauling *** and taking turns so hard the rally center caps fly off.
Want fuel injection without the headache of tuning the system with a computer? This is the system for you! Install it, drive it, and it tunes itself to an optimum calibration for your driving style. No laptop needed! This is the ultimate in a complete self contained fuel injection system. It looks like a carburetor, but what appear to be float bowls are actually fuel rails and sensor mounts that cover the four injectors. The throttle body included in this kit is a direct bolt on replacement for any four barrel carburetor. On engines up to 550 hp, no fuel return line is required. This system comes complete with fuel pump, filter, all sensors, wiring harness and Engine Management System. Use #1F76-10402 for carburetor fuel inlet line kit.
never used the yearone system, but the holley TBI system is *ok* on the poncho-powered 36 chevy truck i used to drive to college. it never got to be quite right, just always had cold start and richness at idle problems.
I have a sysytem from Howell. It runs very well at this point. There are still a few minor issues I never got around to solving. I don't recommed them as they were not very helpful when I had problems. But there are several others on the market that work just fine.
That being said if I had it to do over again I would use a TPI sysytem.
