Well, after some dirty :mad looks from a neighbor, I'm done. I worked a bit on dialing in the carb today. Running pretty darn good :D. Here's the engine:
All the top end stuff (per sig image below) is done. Going to a dyno on Thursday for a dyno tune :)- then I'll feel a fit better about whether the timing is right as it is still rather advanced (but the cam might be at non-zero setting too). Of course, you need to see this photo :D :D :D :
Thank to all those that provided tid-bits of advice along the way!
Looks really nice and clean. If it's a brand new rebuild don't you want to put some easy miles on it before it is subjected to a hard dyno pull?
Good luck
Yea , i was going to say put some break in miles on before dyno runs. Also change oil before dyno runs. Any ways it looks awsome, great combonation. :seeya
If the weather gods allow, the dyno is still on. Since I did not touch the bottom end (cylinder walls are good as new!), I should nto need to put lots of miles on before the test...and my neighbors can tell you it is pulling hard already :)
Never been on a dyno before - bringing in the camera....
DIRTY LOOKS FROM A NEIGHBOR?? :mad :mad What the heck for?
If they are lucky enuf to be serenaded by your sweet engine tones they should be rushing over to feast their eyes on your accomplishments!!
As i am awakened at 7 on a Sunday morning by people putting their maniac dog out in their front yard, or the snow clearing crew that showed up with snowblowers at 12:30 a.m. the other night, or the daily assault of leaf blowers that goes on the entire fall.....etc ETC!!!!! :mad The sound of open headers would be a RELIEF!!!!!
